Vaccines are the buzzword in an implicit atmosphere of recovery and protection against COVID. In this regard, Nevada’s Governor, Steven Sisolak says that 46,000 doses of the effective Moderna vaccine have started coming through to the state. Tough weather conditions for this lifesaving drug are over.
Sisolak was quick to announce on Twitter this Monday.
Candice McDaniel, the Chief of Health Bureau, said officials are ready to work non-stop to distribute the newly arrived Moderna vaccines right away.
Drug Plus Pharmacy in Henderson rolls up its sleeves to provide the necessary support when needed. Patients can get their medical prescriptions delivered to their doorsteps (certain conditions apply) without exposing themselves to the virus at any time.
People of Southern Nevada who were expecting the new intake of Moderna are rescheduled to receive the injection this week. It includes Las Vegas and most of the parts of Nevada.
The Governor also wrote that they thought of using private planes to obtain delayed doses due to the disastrous weather. Sisolak further explained that the state didn’t get to the point of going forward with the idea.
While vaccine efforts continue to happen, 173 new COVID cases arise, and ten people have lost their lives until today.
Since the outbreak, Nevada has suffered from 291,145 positive cases of COVID and 4,882 deaths.
